When you are looking for a new or second-hand crane, give us a call. Because we are not crane stockists or distributors, we can offer unbiased advice based on our many years of experience in the field and so assist you to find the right crane for your business. We can be as involved in the process as you wish, but whatever you do in selecting a new crane, you should have it thoroughly checked over before you purchase. We can provide you with a comprehensive survey report which in turn will allow us to issue the all-important LOLER certificate of thorough examination and test.

The safe load indicator, or rated capacity indicator is an essential tool in the safe operation of a jib crane – truck, mobile, crawler, dockside or marine.
We have many years of experience in the supply, installation, calibration and repair of load indicators such as those from the Wylie and Loadwise ranges. Indicators should have a calibration check carried out by a competent person every 12 months during, or prior to, the thorough examination of the crane. This vital check is now required by the British Standard Code of Practice BS 7121 – ‘Safe Use of Cranes’.
Unlike cranes on land, marine cranes are never operated on level and secure foundations. Lifting operations can lead to excessive heel angles, shift of cargo, and capsize. The solution to this problem for small marine cranes was developed by our associate company Hook Marine Ltd, and their KRANSKAN™ marine crane safety indicator was awarded the prestigious industry prize in the international Ship Safety Awards competition run by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and Lloyd’s Register.
